Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Xavier Weaver is not expected to play Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Weaver was limited at practice on Thursday and did not practice at all on Friday. He was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a hamstring injury.

The wide receiver in his second season out of Colorado has played in seven games this campaign and has three receptions for 24 yards on eight targets.

Cardinals to be thin at wide receiver vs. Rams

The Cardinals will be down multiple receivers on Sunday. Coach Jonathan Gannon ruled out Marvin Harrison Jr. on Friday due to a heel injury the receiver suffered in last week’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Earlier on Saturday, the Cardinals placed receiver Greg Dortch placed on injured reserve due to a chest injury.

With Harrison, Dortch and Weaver all sidelined, wide receiver Michael Wilson is expected to resume the WR1 role for Arizona.

During the two games Harrison missed, Wilson had 303 yards on 25 catches.

To fill out the rest of the wide receiver room, the Cardinals elevated receivers Jalen Brooks and Trent Sherfield Sr. from the practice squad as standard elevations on Saturday.
