CLEVELAND — The Browns only have a few more opportunities to improve upon their win total from a year ago. The best one yet sits right in front of them.

The Browns have three wins going into the final five games of the season. They finished last season 3-14.

Well, here’s the chance they’ve wanted. The 1-11 Tennessee Titans with rookie quarterback Cam Ward are coming to town.

Browns vs. Titans, picks for NFL Week 14Chris Easterling (7-5)

Browns 17, Titans 7: This is the Browns’ best chance to win in December. It’s also Myles Garrett’s best chance to maybe break the NFL’s single-game sack mark of seven. Instead, he’ll probably just have to settle for breaking the NFL single-season sack record, which he can do with four sacks against a Titans team that’s given up 48 this season.

Dan Kadar (7-5)

Browns 13, Titans 6: Other things you should watch at 1 p.m. instead of a game between two of the NFL’s worst teams: “Barbie” on TBS, the second half of “Friday” playing on BET or a Robin Williams double feature on IFC. In a matchup of two of the NFL’s worst teams — which combine to score about 30 points a game — don’t expect much excitement in this one.

George Thomas (6-5)

Browns 21, Titans 10: Cam Ward played where, you say? Oh, yeah, Florida. Yes. Yes, I know, he played at Washington State, too. But the cold, wind and snow of Lake Erie claimed the Edmund Fitzgerald, so it can get Cam Ward. Anyway, here’s the reality at this point in the season: we’re all here just to watch Myles Garrett pursue sackmaster history. And, of course, he can claim Cam Ward, too.

Richard Stallsmith (9-3)

Browns 13, Titans 9: Don’t expect a lot of offense in this one. But if the Browns have the lead most of way, which they should (barring more special teams fiascos), do expect Myles Garrett to sack Titans rookie QB Cam Ward at least four times to set the NFL single-season sack record.

Nate Ulrich (9-3)

Browns 17, Titans 10: The only area in which the Titans are really good is special teams. The Browns are dreadful on special teams. In other words, Tennessee’s path to an upset is special teams. However, an elite defense fired up by Myles Garrett chasing NFL history should be enough to lift Cleveland.
