The Republic analyzes the Cardinals’ loss to the Buccaneers
With the Cardinals officially eliminated from playoff contention, Theo Mackie and Greg Moore break down their 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers in Tampa.
The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals play on Sunday, Dec. 7, at State Farm Stadium in a game on the NFL Week 14 schedule.
The Rams are an 8-point favorite over the Cardinals in NFL Week 14 odds for the game, courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook. Los Angeles is -425 on the moneyline, while Arizona is +325. The over/under (point total) is set at 48.5 points.
The Cardinals are coming off a 20-17 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in NFL Week 13. The Rams lost to the Carolina Panthers, 31-28.

Blake Corum took a first-down handoff and ran 48 yards for a touchdown.
The score came on the Rams’ first offensive play since Puka Nacua caught a touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford.
Corum has 12 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

On the next play, Matthew Staff threw one pass, and it was caught by Puka Nacua for a 31-yard touchdown.

Puka Nacua continues catching passes at an NFL-record pace.
The latest was a 28-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford. Against the Cardinals on Dec. 7, Nacua has six catches for 136 yards and a touchdown.
Stafford is 14-for-18 for 197 yards.
The Rams have scored on each of their four first-half possessions. They have 306 yards of total offense. They have faced just one third down.
Arizona attempted a 63-yard field goal as time expired, but the wide was wide right.

Williams has seven carries for 51 yards and a touchdown. He’s split time with Blake Corum, who has six carries for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Chad Ryland kicked a 38-yard field goal to end what began as a promising drive for the Cardinals.
QB Jacoby Brissett completed four passes to Michael Wilson on the drive.
Wilson has five catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in the game. He had caught all five of his targets. Brissett is 11-for-14 for 139 yards. He’s been sacked twice.

Matthew Stafford was just 1-for-4 on the Rams’ first series, but the running game made up for it. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum had a combined five carries for 53 yards as the Rams put themselves in scoring position.
Harrison Mevis kicked the 26-yard field goal.

Jacoby Brissett completed a 19-yard pass to Michael Wilson to give the Cardinals a lead less than 3 minutes into their game against the LA Rams.
Brissett was 3-for-3 on the 67-yard drive. Trey McBride caught the other two receptions for a combined 45 yards.
