This week’s Monday Night Football matchup features an duel between two of the NFL’s best teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers. While both of these squad boast tough defenses, there are plenty of elite playmakers on the other side of the ball capable of finding the end zone. It’s never easy to put trust in a running back coming back from injury after such an extended absence, especially a rookie. That said, it’s also hard to have watched Philly’s Week 13 effort against the Bears and not immediately trust L.A.’s rushing attack against the Eagles.

Philly’s offense has been arguably the most frustrating unit in the league. However, that hasn’t stopped Hurts from picking up where he left off last year on the ground.
The dual-threat QB hasn’t used his legs as much in general this season, but he’s still rushed for eight touchdowns through 13 weeks. When Philly gets near the goal line, we know who they’re giving the ball to, as evident by Saquon Barkley’s failure to score since Week 8.
The Chargers boast a relatively stout defense, but they’re much more vulnerable against the run than the pass. L.A. has surrendered 11 rushing touchdowns on the year. That sets Hurts up nicely to find the end zone once or twice in this intriguing contest.
