The New York Jets walked into Week 14 riding high after finally notching a win. That good feeling lasted about as long as a snowball in Miami. The Dolphins absolutely steamrolled them, handing New York a brutal 34-10 beatdown that dropped the Jets to 3-10.
Miami jumped out to a 21-0 lead before the first quarter even ended. Isaiah Williams gave the home crowd something to cheer about with a punt-return touchdown just before the break, but that spark fizzled out fast.

The Dolphins tacked on a field goal before halftime, then both offenses went quiet in the third. New York kicked a field goal early in the fourth to make it 24-10, but Miami responded with two late touchdowns that turned the game into a rout.
The loss carried extra weight beyond the lopsided score. New York was officially eliminated from playoff contention for the 15th consecutive season. They now own the longest active postseason drought across all four major professional sports leagues.

Head coach Aaron Glenn faces plenty of issues moving forward, but none bigger than figuring out the quarterback position. Tyrod Taylor started and completed just one of four passes for six yards before throwing an interception and leaving with an injury.

New York Jets quarterback Brady Cook (4) looks to pass the ball during a week 14 football game between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.
Brady Cook stepped in and finished 14-of-30 for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Neither looks like a franchise solution, and Justin Fields clearly isn’t the answer either.

With the playoff door slammed shut, the Jets have the entire offseason to sort out who will run the offense in 2026.
