Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur handed out a pair of game balls from inside the victorious locker room at Lambeau Field following his team’s 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
One player got a game ball for scoring a pair of touchdowns in an emotional spot; another player got one for overcoming adversity and making the game’s most important play.

“That was a hell of a team win,” LaFleur said from the locker room. “It is never easy in this league, we know that, you can never take that for granted, you just keep playing. One play at a time. It was awesome. What an ending there.”
LaFleur shouted out Quay Walker (returned from missing two games), Edgerrin Cooper (11 tackles), Kingsley Enagbare (sack), Josh Jacobs (21-yard run on 3rd-and-1, go-ahead touchdown run), Jayden Reed (returned from IR), Bo Melton (45-yard touchdown catch) and Jordan Love (three touchdown passes).
Here’s who got game balls from LaFleur:
WR Christian Watson
Watson, who was playing the Bears at Lambeau Field for the first time since tearing his ACL in last year’s regular season finale, caught four passes for 89 yards and two more touchdowns, including a 41-yarder in the second half. It was an emotional step in Watson’s incredible comeback story.

“Real talk, we know what happened the last time we played these boys out here,” Watson said. “I wasn’t trying to think about it a lot, you boys helped me do that. It meant a lot to me to go out there, get out the game healthy and go out there with you boys and get a dub.”
CB Keisean Nixon
Nixon was penalized twice on a Bears scoring drive and was even benched for a few plays after committing an unnecessary roughness penalty. But in the game’s biggest moment, Nixon made amends — leaping in front of Cole Kmet in the end zone for a game-ending interception with 22 seconds to go.

“It’s not always how you start,” LaFleur said of Nixon. “There was some turmoil, some adversity. But he came through. Two PBUs and the game-sealing pick.”
