The Cleveland Browns fell to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, 31-29, at Huntington Bank Field. The Browns’ rookie quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, made his third career start in the loss, as he fell to 1-2 since taking over for fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, and the Browns’ record dropped to 3-10 on the season.

Despite the loss, Sanders was incredible. He went 23-of-42 passing for 364 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. He also carried the ball three times for 29 yards and one more score on the ground.

In his NFL career thus far, Sanders has completed 52.4% of his passes for 769 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions.

After the game, Sanders spoke to the media about becoming more comfortable in the role as the team’s starting quarterback after he spent the beginning of the season on the Browns’ bench.

“I mean, I’m comfortable with being uncomfortable,” Sanders said. “You gotta understand, that’s just kinda like the situation I’m in, and I’m fine with that. I love that. Because my story and everything inspires people to make sure, even if they’re in uncomfortable positions and situations, to stay on course and keep their mental strong.”

The NFL reacted to this powerful message sent by Sanders on the league’s X account.

“Shedeur embraces being uncomfortable 🫡,” the caption read.

While he wasn’t able to pull out a victory for Cleveland on Sunday, he did lead a potentially game-tying drive in the final minutes of the game. With 1:07 left, he threw a touchdown pass to Harold Fannin Jr., which lowered the Browns’ deficit to two. However, he was taken off the field for the two-point conversion attempt, which failed.

Sanders and Cleveland will look to get back on track on Dec. 14 against the Chicago Bears.
