Tonight’s week 14 MNF game features two teams that look to be headed to the postseason. The Los Angeles Chargers sit in second place in the NFC West and host the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have struggled offensively over the past couple of weeks, while the Chargers have been playing inconsistent football for a few weeks. Chargers Bold Prediction two

WR Keenan Allen catches just four passes, but two are touchdown catches in the red zone.

QB Jalen Hurts throws for over 300 yards for only the second time all season, but also throws an interception for the second straight game and in back-to-back games for the first time all season.

Chargers Bold Prediction three

The running backs are held to under 50 total rushing yards and are out-rushed by both quarterbacks.

The Eagles defense sacks Justin Herbert four times and forces two fumbles.

The 8-4 Eagles are heading to Los Angeles to take on the 8-4 Chargers in what has become a must-win game for both teams to maintain their playoff positioning. On paper, the Chargers should be able to win this game. They are 5-2 at home this season compared to their 3-2 record on the road, and they have the number two defense in the league in terms of total yards allowed per game. This is noteworthy because the Eagles offense has been bad this season, ranking 24th in total yards per game. Both teams rank in the middle of the pack in points per game this season, so the Chargers defense should be the deciding factor. 

Prediction: Chargers 23 – Eagles 20
