Week 14 of the NFL season had an interesting slate of action, as the top teams generally avoided each other, while the middle of the pack tried to sort themselves out. It started on Thursday with the Detroit Lions defeating the Dallas Cowboys as both teams tried to establish themselves among the league’s upper tier.
It continued into Sunday, with teams like Pittsburgh and Baltimore duking it out, but there was one tremendous matchup, between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. Will the Bears’ loss be the beginning of a late season slide? They certainly looked ready to compete with the best of the best. Meanwhile, the NFC West’s top teams looked so dominant, they overcame a top team that didn’t even lose. The Broncos are intriguing, but with their lack of firepower it was too difficult to keep them ahead of the Rams and Seahawks.

The Patriots were off for the week, one of four teams with this extremely late bye week. Were they able to hold onto the No. 1 slot?
