Cori Kennedy from Kasson-Mantorville, Minnesota and a former contestant on The Voice, knocked our socks off over the weekend when she performed the National Anthem at the Minnesota Vikings game on Sunday!

I was sadly not at the game, so I didn’t see it live, but I’ve now seen the video of her performance. Not only did she do an amazing job, but it was also just so cool to see someone from your neck of the woods, and someone you’ve met, perform on such a big stage.

Cori Kennedy National Anthem Performance at Minnesota Vikings Game

Last week, Cori announced on her socials that she was going to be performing at the Vikings game against the Washington Commanders. People were so excited to hear the news, her first big thing since her time on The Voice ended (although, I’m sure there’s plenty in the works behind the scenes).

By the way, I’m convinced that Cori singing the National Anthem is what brought the Vikings back from that miserable game last week and got us the win yesterday! Yeah, probably a stretch, but I’ll believe it.

Anyway, big props to Cori on the great performance yesterday. There are plenty of times that I’ve seen someone sing the National Anthem, and it’s too much, they add too much flair to it. I think Cori did a great job, added her Cori spice to it, but didn’t go too far, and it sounded beautiful.
