THEATER PLANS INCLUDE PUTTING THE STAGE UP AGAINST ACRISURE STADIUM, SO THE THEATER WILL BE IN THE PARKING LOT ADJACENT TO ACRISURE STADIUM. THE TAILGATING PARKING LOTS ALONG WEST GENERAL ROBINSON STREET WILL HOLD THE LIVE THEATER AUDIENCE, MOSTLY SPECTATORS. THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME FRONT OF HOUSE CONCESSIONS, FOOD AND BEVERAGE, SOME BACK OF HOUSE NEEDS. SOME OF OUR BROADCAST SETS. MORE SPECIFICALLY, AT THE TOWN HALL MEETING, WHAT RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES CAN EXPECT DURING DRAFT WEEK AND LEADING UP TO THE BIG EVENT. STREET CLOSURES, ACCESS TO HOMES AND BUSINESSES DOWNTOWN AND ON THE NORTH SHORE. ALL OF THESE STRATEGIES ARE DISCUSSED AT THE TOWN HALL MEETING. AND THEN THE NFL WILL RELEASED A FAN COMMUNICATION STRATEGY RIGHT AFTER THE NFL COMBINE. Members of the NFL, Visit Pittsburgh, and the Steelers organization met with downtown business owners Monday for the second of three town hall meetings to further explain planning strategies ahead of the NFL Draft.How businesses and residents will be impacted on the North Shore and Downtown are among the key points that will remain fluid leading up to the event, including the economic windfall expected, even throughout the region.”We know there’s businesses, residents, community leaders, community members, in the 10 counties making up what is going to be and amazing three days of the draft,” Nicki Ewell, NFL vice president of events, said. “We want to make sure they have a voice, because they are effectuating change, effectuating a program that we are going to highlight on a global stage.”Ewell also said the NFL will release a fan communication strategy right after the combine. “The broader draft information for the draft will drop in early March,” he said. “That is all of the go before you go information before the event, street closures, it’s maps, it’s schedules, it’s know before you go.”Pittsburgh will host the three-day NFL Draft, April 23-25.Looking for more news in your area | Subscribe to the WTAE YouTube Channel
