While the 49ers might not be as well represented as years past at the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl Games, San Francisco still has a couple of notable players who currently are earning a large portion of fan voting.

Running back Christian McCaffrey leads his position in fan voting, with the 2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year pacing fellow star ball carriers Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts), Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions), Bijan Robinson (Atlanta Falcons) and James Cook (Buffalo Bills).

Kyle Juszczyk is the only other 49er to be No. 1 in fan voting at their respective position as he seeks his 10th-career Pro Bowl nod.

Trent Williams ranks second in fan voting among tackles, trailing only Arizona Cardinals star Paris Johnson Jr., as he appears to be a near-lock for his 12th Pro Bowl selection.

Superstar tight end George Kittle might be the most notable snub through this portion of fan voting, somehow sitting at seventh place despite being one of the game’s best at his position for nearly a decade and being named to six of the past seven Pro Bowls.

While Kittle’s numbers have taken a hit after missing five games this season due to injury, it’s impossible to imagine the festive atmosphere of the Pro Bowl Games without his trademarked enthusiasm being present.

Other 49ers receiving votes in the top 10 of their respective positions include safety Ji’Ayir Brown (eighth), long snapper Jon Weeks (seventh), special teams player Luke Gifford (sixth) and return specialist Skyy Moore (seventh).

While fan voting only accounts for one-third of the overall process (coach and player voting each add up to a third, respectively) it does play a crucial role in determining which NFL players receive the prestigious honor that is attached to their resume forever.

San Francisco had nine players selected for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, and while it appears there won’t be as large of a number this time around, you can be assured the Red and Gold will be represented in some fashion come February … unless they happen to find themselves preparing for Super Bowl LX that week, which also can’t be ruled out at this point in time.
