Media outlets do not have high expectations for the Tennessee Titans heading into the 2025 season. Although they are scheduled to face the eighth-most manageable schedule this year, outlets see slight improvement from their dismal 3-14 2024 campaign.

While the Titans shouldn’t be considered contenders, they have overhauled much of their roster and don’t play in an overpowering division, giving them at least a fighting chance at success even with a rookie quarterback at the helm.

NFL Network analyst Cynthia Frelund devised an analytic model to project the 2025 season. Based on that model, the Titans are projected to win just 5.8 games in 2025.

Tennessee Titans – 5.8

Opening up against the Broncos‘ defense is a tricky way for No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward to begin his career. Following that up with a home game against the Rams defense in Week 2 is a really, really tricky way! The good news is that tests at the Niners (in Week 15) and vs. the Chiefs (in Week 16) come later in the season, meaning we’ll be able to see how much Ward has improved by then.

The Titans will play six games against members of the AFC South, who all have major questions heading into the season. Outside the division, they face teams from the AFC West and NFC West, along with games against the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and New Orleans Saints.

Frelund and the NFL Network model have the Cleveland Browns at 5.5 wins as the only team in the AFC with a projected win total lower than the Titans’

There is no doubt that the Titans have improved throughout this offseason, but just how much is still a mystery, and at this point, it is impossible to tell what will happen in 2025. Potentially playing behind a rookie quarterback is always a challenge, but after a tough opening slate, the schedule opens up, and there is a long stretch of what should be winnable games.
