The Cardinals had a pair of running backs and receivers in for tryouts on Monday.

The Arizona Cardinals have been dealing with injuries at both running back and wide receiver. When the NFL transaction report had two running backs and two wide receiver listed as having had tryouts with the Cardinals, it probably wasn’t a surprise.

At receiver, they lost Greg Dortch to injured reserve. Marvin Harrison Jr. missed Sunday’s game with a heel injury and Xavier Weaver missed with a hamstring injury. At running back, Trey Benson has been available for practice for three weeks, but is in danger of reverting to injured reserve for the rest of the season. Emari Demercado has missed multiple games with a high ankle sprain.

With these tryouts, it is likely we will see an announcement of at least one of them getting signed to the practice squad.
