On October 29, the Baltimore Ravens made a trade-deadline deal to acquire Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson. The Ravens sent a fifth-round pick, while the Panthers sent Johnson and a sixth-round selection. When the draft order was set, the Ravens sent No. 163 overall, while the Panthers sent the enigmatic WR and No. 183 overall.
With the Ravens and Panthers both making their selections with said draft picks, the deal is now complete.
What are the final results for the Diontae Johnson trade between the Panthers and Ravens?

Who won the trade for Diontae Johnson between the Panthers and Ravens?
In the early measurement of this trade, it’s been a failed deal on both counts, slightly leaning toward the Panthers. After all, they ridded themselves of a player who caused disruption in the locker room. However, they had to remain on the hook for $9.375 million, and shipped him away to jump just 20 spots in the draft.
Meanwhile, the Ravens hung onto a player that certainly had the skillset to improve the roster and perform well in an offense headed by Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and a strong receiving room. Johnson’s ability — on paper — gave the Ravens extra strength, especially against good secondaries. But Johnson’s attitude and disruption, including quitting on the team and refusing to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13, denied the opportunity.
Baltimore released him in December where he was claimed by the Houston Texans. Houston eventually waived him in January and the Ravens claimed him knowing he couldn’t play for the remainder of the season in case someone signed him this offseason, netting them a potential compensatory pick.
