After their Week 14 matchup, Cleveland Browns’ Shedeur Sanders and Tennessee Titans’ Cam Ward swapped jerseys.
Ward’s Tennessee Titans defeated Sanders’ Cleveland Browns 31–29 in an entertaining showdown on the shores of Lake Erie, and after the game the two rookies made sure to link up.

Shedeur’s older brother, Deion Jr., documented his third NFL start Sunday from pregame to postgame, which included a jersey swap in the tunnels of Huntington Bank Field.
Ward finished 14 of 28 for 117 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. It wasn’t a stellar performance, but far from disastrous.
On the other side, Sanders had a historic day, completing 23 of 42 for 364 yards, three passing touchdowns, a rushing touchdown, and one interception.
Sanders joined Joe Burrow as the only first-year NFL quarterbacks to throw for 350 yards, three passing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown in the Super Bowl era.

He became the first Browns player to accomplish this feat since 1950.
It was far and away Sanders’ best game as a pro.
After seeing Sanders’ stat line, Ward joked about what he planned to do with the jersey.
“Oh, 4 touchdowns and 350? Gonna put that s— on eBay after the game,” Ward joked.
Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, first tried to swap jerseys with Sanders back at the NFL Rookie Premiere in May, but Sanders declined.
“I gotta sell it, I gotta have some type of money,” Sanders joked while streaming the conversation.
“I’m already down.”

While it was a nice moment between the first overall pick and the 144th overall pick this weekend, much of the discourse after the game surrounded Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and his puzzling play call on Cleveland’s failed game-tying two-point attempt.
On the play, Sanders was taken out, and running back Quinshon Judkins took the direct snap, only to be stuffed.
Stefanski took all the blame after the game.
“Not going to get into all the specifics but obviously it did not go as we thought it would,” he said.
“I make every call. It’s a two-point play, we didn’t come through on our first, and we didn’t come through on our second.
“I’m responsible for all of it.”
While many fans were outraged by Stefanski’s call, Sanders offered a calmer perspective from the rabid Dawg Pound.
“I wish I would always have the ball in my hands but that’s not what football is,” Sanders said.

“I know we practiced something, and we executed it in practice, and we just didn’t seem to this day.
“So, I would never go against, you know, kind of like what the call was or anything.”
Stefanski announced that Sanders would be the starter for the remainder of Cleveland’s season.

While the Browns’ season has long been effectively over, their final four games against the Bears, Bills, Steelers, and Bengals provide Sanders a prime opportunity to show the ownership and front office that he has what it takes to be the franchise quarterback.
