The Indiana Football Coaches Association released its Top 50 All-State team, as well as its senior and junior all-state teams for Classes 6A through 1A, on Saturday, Dec. 6.
While there were no East Central Indiana football players featured in the Top 50, eight players earned all-state nods in their respective classes. Six seniors — three in Class 4A, two in 2A, and one in 1A — earned senior all-state recognition, while two underclassmen teammates earned 4A junior all-state recognition.

Here’s a look at each East Central Indiana football player who earned all-state honors from the IFCA for their performances in the 2025 season:
IFCA Class 4A Senior All-State
Jabin Barnes, Yorktown, TE: Barnes earned a spot on the 4A senior all-state team after helping lead Yorktown to a 9-3 record and its first sectional championship at the Class 4A level. As a tight end, Barnes hauled in 16 catches for 234 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he racked up 72 total tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss, 8.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and one recovery.

Cole Perdue, Yorktown, WR: Perdue earned a 4A senior all-state nod after leading Yorktown in receiving with 49 catches for 671 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, he also led the team with 94 total tackles, including eight tackles-for-loss and one sack, and brought in two interceptions.

Tylin Thrine, New Castle, DB: Thrine earned 4A senior all-state honors as a defensive back after racking up 116 total tackles — 12th most in Class 4A — as well as two fumble recoveries and an interception. Offensively, Thrine went for 758 scrimmage yards — 310 rushing and 448 receiving — and nine total touchdowns.

IFCA Class 4A Junior All-State
De’Marshuwn Clemens, Muncie Central, sophomore, DL: Clemens earned a spot on the 4A junior all-state team after a breakout sophomore campaign for the Bearcats. He racked up 59 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks and a team-leading 10 tackles-for-loss. Clemens also recorded two interceptions and blocked a punt.

Kye Hiatt, Muncie Central, junior, DB: Hiatt was the second Bearcat defender to earn a 4A junior all-state nod. The junior safety was second on the team with 67 total tackles and recorded six interceptions, making him one of just 29 players statewide to record six interceptions, regardless of class. Hiatt also made an impact as a wide receiver, hauling in 16 receptions for 261 yards and four touchdowns.

IFCA Class 2A Senior All-State
Jarrett Helman, Shenandoah, DB: One year after earning junior all-state honors, Helman earned 2A senior all-state honors as a defensive back after racking up a team-high 99 total tackles for Shenandoah, as well as two forced fumbles, one recovery and four interceptions. Helman also starred on offense as the Raiders’ quarterback, completing 71.5% of his passes for 1,673 yards and 21 touchdowns with just three interceptions while also running for 710 yards and nine touchdowns.

Aidan Weatherhead, Winchester Community, DB: Weatherhead got a nod for 2A senior all-state as a defensive back after racking up 34 total tackles, a forced fumble and recovery, and an interception which he returned for a touchdown. He also operated as the bell cow for the Golden Falcons’ offense, finishing with 987 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns plus 129 receiving yards and two more touchdowns.

IFCA Class 1A Senior All-State
Julius Ullom, Monroe Central, DL: Ullom received an all-state nod for the second year in a row, earning 1A senior all-state honors after receiving junior all-state honors last year. The fifth Ullom brother to earn all-state honors at some point in his Monroe Central career, Julius finished the 2025 season with 26 total tackles, four tackles-for-loss, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked field goal while also anchoring the Golden Bears’ offensive line.
