The Dallas Cowboys not only came up short in Week 14 on Thursday Night Football against the Detroit Lions, they also saw star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb go down with a scary concussion.
Early in the third quarter, Lamb tried to make a leaping touchdown catch from Dak Prescott. Unfortunately, when he came down he landed hard on his head. He quickly exited the game and was ruled out due to a concussion.
Lamb has missed quite a bit of time due to injury this season. Earlier in the year, he was forced out of game action due to an ankle injury. Now, his status moving forward with the concussion has been a major question surrounding the Cowboys.

With the loss to the Lions, Dallas saw its chances of making a run to the playoffs shrink quite a bit. The Cowboys hold a 6-6-1 record and badly need to run the table in their final four regular season games.

In Week 15 NFL action, Dallas will play host to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. A win would keep the Cowboys in the running for a spot in the playoffs, but a loss would likely doom their season.
Will Lamb be able to play in that game? Dallas provided a positive update on Lamb’s status on Monday.
As shared by The Athletic’s Jon Machota, head coach Brian Schottenheimer said that Lamb is “doing good” and “progressing nicely.”
Granted, that doesn’t give any idea one way or another if Lamb will be able to play on Sunday night. However, it is a positive update that suggests that his recovery from the concussion is currently going well and that he has not suffered any setbacks.
So far this season in 10 games played, Lamb has caught 57 passes for 865 yards and three touchdowns. George Pickens has played a huge role for the Cowboys both alongside of Lamb and when he has been out, catching 78 passes for 1,179 yards and eight scores.

Hopefully, Lamb’s recovery continues going well. Dallas needs him on the field on Sunday night.
After facing the Vikings this week, the Cowboys will close out the season facing the Los Angeles Chargers at home, the Washington Commanders on the road, and the New York Giants on the road as well in that order.
