Atlanta’s Week 14 loss ended the team’s playoff hopes.

The Atlanta Falcons are officially out of the playoff hunt for the 2025 NFL season. Sunday’s blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks was the final nail in the Falcons’ coffin and marked the eighth consecutive year that they have failed to qualify for the postseason.

Entering Week 15, nine NFL teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. For what it’s worth, Atlanta has the best record of the bunch at 4-9. Other teams include the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints. Check out the full list below.

Adding insult to injury, the Falcons don’t even have a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft. The team traded that pick away to the Los Angeles Rams to move up for edge rusher James Pearce Jr. Fortunately, Pearce has been the team’s most consistent pass rusher this season.

The rookie is tied for the team lead with six sacks and has recorded at least one sack in five straight games. The Falcons will need their revamped pass rush to show up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15. The game will air on Thursday night at 8:15 p.m. ET.
