Just as we did with each of the eight draft selections, let’s take a closer look at each of the Colts‘ UDFAs. Up next is Florida Atlantic defensive tackle Devonta Davis.

Davis played his first four seasons at Jackson State before transferring to FAU for the 2024 season. In this three seasons playing at Jackson State, Davis averaged 317 snaps per season, while this pas year, he played a career high 480 snaps.
At FAU, Davis totaled 13 pressures and one sack. Pass rush-wise, his most productive season came in 2022 when he had 20 pressures. However, Davis’ greatest impact came in the run game, where he routinely graded out well by PFF’s metrics.
In 2024 specifically, out of 200-plus defensive tackles, Davis ranked 53rd in run defense grade and 92nd in run-stop rate.

In an interview with NFL Draft Diamonds, Davis was asked what an NFL team is going to get from him.
“What a team would get in a player like me is a player that is always willing to learn new things and player that’s always trying to get better no matter what it is,” Davis said.
