LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson helped welcome the 20th Raising Cane’s location to Southern Nevada.

Carlson joined Communities in Schools on Tuesday to celebrate the opening of the new chicken finger joint on East Fremont Street.

He accepted a $2,500 donation check benefitting Clark County School District Title I schools, and 20 holiday presents were donated to deserving students supported by Communities in Schools.

The new Cane’s, located at 231 E. Fremont St., south of Charleston Boulevard, features a double-lane drive thru and an indoor dining room decorated with memorabilia celebrating the Las Vegas community.

“I’m excited to open our newest Cane’s in Las Vegas and continue serving fans and Customers in this great Community,” Raising Cane’s owner and founder Todd Graves said in a statement.

The first customer received a one-of-a-kind gift basket, and the first 100 combos purchased came with a Cane’s trucker hat and free box combo card.

Fremont Middle School Mariachi Azul’s will perform later from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
