WASHINGTON (7News) — Making an impact.
That’s the goal for any professional athlete. Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is doing just that in the DMV community.
On Tuesday night at Union Station, Daniels teamed up with Raising Cane’s, gifting 100 children’s bikes and helmets to members of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
“It means a lot just to be out here and give back to the kids and see how happy they are,” Daniels said at the event. “I appreciate Raising Cane’s, I appreciate the Boys & Girls Club. I just appreciate everybody that was involved to make this very special.

This was the third bike giveaway that Daniels organized. He’s been working with Raising Cane’s during the holiday season since his college days at Louisiana State University (LSU).
As you can imagine, the many boys and girls were so happy to receive a brand-new bike.
“I was very excited because I never rode one, so I wanted to ride it,” said one little boy after trying out his new ride.
“I want to say thank you so much and I’m so proud of this bike,” said one little girl that was smiling from ear to ear while sitting on the bike.
