They are now No. 23 after a 45-17 loss to the Rams.

It is Tuesday and the entire Week 14 schedule concluded Monday night, which means we have new power rankings. The Arizona Cardinals are worse off entering the week, as they lost their fifth straight game and their 10th in the last 11. But it was a 45-17 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams, and they allowed 35 unanswered points.

So where do they land in this week’s new NFL power rankings for Week 15 from USA TODAY’s Nate Davis?

Understandably, they fall. Here is where they now stand.

Cardinals fall again in new power rankings

They didn’t fall far. After dropping a spot from No. 21 to No. 22, they find themselves one spot lower this week at No. 23.

If Trey McBride catches five more balls Sunday, he’ll set the record for most consecutive five-reception games (16) by a tight end. Gotta look for silver linings where you can find them in the desert.

The bright side has been the play of McBride and receiver Michael Wilson, who added 11 catches for 142 yards and two scores on Sunday. In three games as the Cardinals’ No. 1 receiver when Marvin Harrison Jr. has been out, Wilson has 36 receptions for 445 yards and two scores. That is more than half his year’s production in only three games. However, two of those three games come in losses by at least three scores.

With all the talk of how much better the offense looks since Jacoby Brissett took over at starting quarterback, the offense has scored 17 points in three consecutive games.

The offense isn’t producing and the defense isn’t stopping anyone, having allowed 27 or more points in six of their last eight games.

They are the worst-ranked team in the NFC West by far, as the Los Angeles Rams are No. 1, the Seattle Seahawks are No. 3 and the San Francisco 49ers are No. 10.
