The Atlanta Falcons have a short turnaround before their Thursday night matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The last time these two NFC South rivals faced off in Week 1, former Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo missed a potential game-tying field goal attempt in the fourth quarter of a 23-20 loss.
The Buccaneers initially appeared to be a contender, but they’ve lost three of their last four games to fall to 7-6 overall. Meanwhile, the Falcons’ season spiraled off the rails a long time ago. With a 4-9 record, Atlanta is playing for pride at this point.
Nonetheless, it’s always entertaining whenever these two rivals face off. The Falcons will be wearing throwback uniforms with their classic red helmets during Thursday’s game against the Buccaneers, as you can see below.
