Kosar has been in and out of the hospital since having a liver transplant on Nov. 17.
The legendary quarterback received the liver from Bryce Dunlap, 21, of North Olmsted.
Dunlap passed away unexpectedly due to complications from an anoxic brain injury.

Kosar publicly thanked Dunlap’s family on his Facebook page and called the transplant “great gift.”
In summer 2024, Kosar was diagnosed with liver failure and Parkinson’s disease.
Kosar previously said he plans to focus on his recovery the weeks after the surgery.
“One of the things is they are trying to calm me down, stay quiet because it really is the first 90 days. With infections and meeting people and getting too confident in your health and wellness you have to be careful,” said Kosar.
