Tampa Bay Buccaneers star receiver Mike Evans has dealt with multiple injuries over the last few seasons, and 2025 has seen him miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury and a broken collarbone. Now, the team has received a promising update on his status against the Falcons.

Evans has been a mainstay with the Buccaneers franchise, putting together over 1,000 yards in each of his 11 seasons with the team. Unfortunately, 2025 will be the first year in his storied career that he will not achieve that number.
Despite Evans continuing to show up on the field when it matters, his injuries in 2025 have taken a big toll. That said, he might finally be making it back to the field on “Thursday Night Football.”
Per Greg Auman, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles stated that Evans has “shown everything he needed to show in practice to be activated and make his return.”

After missing the last five games, Evans will come back at a crucial time for the Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay is currently 7-6, and is 1-4 in their last five outings. With the NFC playoff race starting to get wilder, the Buccaneers need to start winning games.
Having Evans back out on the field gives the offense a huge boost, especially for Baker Mayfield. The team has been hit with injuries on the offensive side of the ball, including losing Evans and Bucky Irving for multiple games.
The offense has clearly been struggling without its top players, and Mayfield and company will have Evans and Irving back on the field together for the first time in multiple weeks.
They have a tall task ahead to take down the Atlanta Falcons, who are likely set to just play season-ruiner for the Buccaneers. Either way, Evans being back on the field should help the team in a great way.
