The 6-7 Baltimore Ravens have struggled on both sides of the ball this season. While they’re still in second place of the AFC North, which puts a potential playoff spot in reach, the Ravens have not lived up to their full potential.

While this season is clearly far from over for John Harbaugh’s team, you can bet Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta already has an eye on the offseason, where Baltimore will look to strengthen their weaknesses.

Recently, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler had one suggestion that would really kick Baltimore’s offense into high gear. Specifically, Fowler connected the Ravens to using their excess in cap space to sign upcoming free agent George Pickens.

“The Ravens need a classic boundary receiver on the outside and could address that with one big move in free agency. George Pickens would be a significant upgrade in Baltimore. Pickens might be franchise-tagged by Dallas. But if available, the Ravens could use some of their $40 million in 2026 cap space on Pickens, knowing John Harbaugh is good at managing big personalities.”

Of course, there’s no guarantee Pickens will even hit the open market. Given how well he’s fit into the Cowboys’ offense, Dallas will likely either place the franchise tag on their emerging superstar receiver or emphasize signing him to a long-term contract.

Still, if the Cowboys are willing to let the market set the market for Pickens, you can be sure other teams will present respectable offers. Baltimore just might be one of them.

With Pickens ranking third among all pass-catchers with 1,179 yards and only being 24 years old, his next contract will surely recognize him as one of the NFL’s best receivers. The biggest question is, who will pay him? If not Dallas, why not Baltimore?
