The Chargers are in the midst of the playoff hunt, currently the No. 5 seed, and have a 78% chance of making the postseason after last Monday’s win over the Eagles.

Set to face the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, a win would significantly boost Los Angeles’ probability to 95%. A victory would improve their record to 10-4 and keep them locked in to the fifth seed. Additionally, if the Packers beat the Broncos, Los Angeles would only be one game back from owning the top spot in the division.

A loss would drop the Bolts’ record to 9-5, their playoff odds to 69% and could have them in the “in the hunt” category, should the Texans, Colts, and Bills win their respective games.

The Week 15 game between L.A. and Kansas City is important because it could be one of the things that knocks the Chiefs out of the playoffs. There are multiple ways it could happen, but the simplest is if the Chiefs lose to the Chargers, the Bills beat the Patriots, the Jaguars beat the Jets, and the Texans beat the Cardinals.
