The Philadelphia Eagles are in the midst of their toughest stretch of the season, dropping three consecutive games to fall to 8-5.

Their most recent loss came in overtime against the Los Angeles Chargers, following a late red-zone interception by Jalen Hurts, who threw four picks in what was easily his worst game of the season.

Despite the concerns surrounding the team, Eagles legend and current ESPN “Monday Night Countdown” analyst Jason Kelce predicts the team will finish strong and enter the playoffs playing solid football.

“I do think so. I think they’re making improvements offensively… I think they’re going to keep getting healthier, they’re going to get Lane Johnson back. Most importantly, I think the defense is really, really good,” Kelce said during an appearance on Sports Radio 94 WIP. “Overall, they have a phenomenal defense that I think will keep games close. If they can develop into a team that controls the ball, controls the line of scrimmage—which I think they are going to—and if they can limit turnovers… I think they’re for sure going to win three of these last four games, and they will be a really good team in the playoffs.

“I think it’s heading in the right direction, despite what the last three games have shown. When you go back and watch the tape, there are things you can take away from the Chargers game. Moving forward, I feel optimistic that the offense will be better… this is just a weird year in the NFL.”

The Eagles finish their season with a somewhat favorable schedule that could allow them to end on a high note heading into the postseason.

They host the 2-11 Las Vegas Raiders this week, face a depleted Washington Commanders team twice in Week 16 and Week 18, and have a tough road matchup in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills.
