It has been long known the Seattle Seahawks will face the Carolina Panthers in Week 17 of the season on the road. What has not been known to us is when they will take the field against the Carolina Panthers. When the schedule was released, the date and time of the game was officially listed as TBD… until now. On Wednesday evening, the NFL revealed to us when the Seahawks and Panthers will face off.

Seattle will travel to Carolina on Sunday, December 28th for a 10:00 am Pacific Time kick off in Week 17.

So… nothing truly out of the ordinary, which is great. No one has to readjust their schedules, and more importantly, the Seahawks will get that extra day of rest. The one benefit to playing on Thursday Night Football (which the Seahawks will do in Week 16 against the Rams) is getting somewhat of a “mini Bye Week” afterwards. That extra (expected) day of rest should help with the travel back to the east coast.

The Seahawks have done exceptionally well on the east coast. Since 2018, Seattle has won 24 out of 31 games in the eastern time zone, and has won 23 of 28 games, with the most recent one being their 37-9 win over the Atlanta Falcons last week.
