DETROIT- The Detroit Lions will play their first international game in over a decade in the coming 2026-2027 season.
The team confirmed the future game to 9&10 News on Thursday, but did not name a location or opponent.
The last time Detroit played in an international game was the 2015 season, which resulted in a loss to the Chiefs.
The NFL has announced several locations for international games next season in Berlin, Melbourne, Rio De Janeiro, and London, with more locations expected to be announced at a later date.
Other recent hosts of international games include Dublin, Munich, Mexico City, and Madrid.
