Falcons Wire is live-blogging Thursday night’s game vs. the Buccaneers.

The Atlanta Falcons are facing off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Thursday Night Football” to kick off Week 15. Both teams have faced their share of struggles thus far in the second half of the 2025 NFL season.

The Falcons have spiraled out of control since their Week 6 upset of the Buffalo Bills, losing seven of their last eight games to fall to 4-9. As for the Buccaneers, they’ve lost four out of their last five games, including an embarrassing loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 14.

While the Buccaneers still sit atop the NFC South with a 7-6 record, they need to beat the Falcons in Week 15 to avoid being passed by the Carolina Panthers in the division standings.

Veteran quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield will face off for the first time since the 2024 season. Cousins led Atlanta to a 2-0 sweep of the Bucs last year, and Mayfield will look to return the favor on Thursday night.

Falcons Wire is live blogging tonight’s game. Follow along below for highlights, updates and each team’s inactives list for Week 15.

Falcons Wire Week 15 staff picks

Check out what our Falcons Wire staff predictions for Thursday’s prime-time showdown in Tampa below.

“I know quit when I see quit” is what Deion Sanders said about the 4-9 Raheem Morris led Buccaneers back in 2011 at halftime of a game against the 7-6 Cowboys. Sanders’ truth in 2011 is coming back full circle as the 4-9 Raheem Morris led Falcons are set to take on the 7-6 Buccaneers tonight. This team is dead in the water and could very well lose all their games left and not even reap the benefit of that when it comes to draft order. Tampa Bay wins by three scores at home. | Buccaneers 27, Falcons 7.

Coming off a 28-point loss in Week 14, the Falcons have seemingly bottomed out. The team’s inability to play complementary football has caused Atlanta to lose seven of eight games. While this would seem like an easy win for the Bucs, they haven’t looked the same in recent weeks. Kirk Cousins went 2-0 against Tampa Bay in 2024, passing for over 500 yards in last year’s Thursday night football matchup. I think the Falcons will lean on Bijan Robinson along with their revamped pass rush to find a way to win in a tough environment. | Falcons 21, Buccaneers 17.

Falcons Week 15 uniforms: Throwbacks

The Falcons will be wearing their fan-favorite red helmets against the Buccaneers on Thursday night. Tampa Bay will in turn be wearing its orange creamsicle uniforms.
