The Miami Dolphins are a little more banged up than they’ve been in recent weeks. On Thursday, in the team’s first practice ahead of a Monday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Dolphins had two players out of action and seven limited.
Among those limited were some of the team’s most pivotal players, including running back De’Von Achane.
Earlier Thursday, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel sounded optimistic about Achane’s chances of playing against the Steelers and said the back will have a “gradual increase in activity” as the game approaches.

The Steelers are dealing with more injury issues than the Dolphins, though. In addition to star pass rusher T.J. Watt’s hospitalization due to a lung issue, defensive lineman Derrick Harmon missed practice with a knee injury and offensive lineman Andrus Peat was missing with a concussion.
