Hamilton County commissioners have approved more than $200 million to pay for upgrades to Paycor Stadium, the home of the Cincinnati Bengals.In August, a new lease was agreed to by the team and county. That included the county investing $350 million into stadium renovations and the team chipping in $120 million, along with paying millions in rent.The money approved on Thursday will go to improving the stadium’s “Jungle Vision” computer system, while the rest of the financing for upgrades will be approved at a future meeting.According to the terms agreed to earlier this year, the new lease term will last at least 10 years. At the end of the new agreement, the Bengals will “be afforded five 2-year extensions.” The team’s first option to extend will be automatic if the Bengals reach a ranking of 24th or better in terms of total NFL revenue.Club seating and lounge areas will be renovated to feature authentic Bengals-inspired designs and increased capacity with 2,000 new seats.There will also be new lounge areas and bar concepts inside the club area, featuring large-scale video screens for better viewing for club seat holders. Club seat holders will also see upgraded escalators and elevators and restroom areas.
