Good morning Gang Green Nation!
Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields both did not practice yesterday for the second straight day. This sets the stage for the Jets to go into their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday with the same two quarterbacks who battled it out in preseason for a practice squad slot. Brady Cook is likely to start the game, with Adrian Martinez likely to be the backup. This isn’t written in stone; there is still time for Taylor and/or Fields to get healthy enough to play. However, for now the practice squad duo appears the most likely scenario. With Garrett Wilson still not ready to return and Mason Taylor also missing the first two practices this week, this game has taken on a look all too familiar to Jets fans: preseason games in December. It will be nice when the Jets finally turn the corner and return to a playoff-like atmosphere in December. Some day.
