Well, for the Dallas Cowboys, a slim chance of still making it into the NFL playoffs.

The Cowboys aren’t eliminated, and that’s what their fanbase will be hanging onto. But it’s going to take a lot of work, and some help.

On Friday, ESPN released updated NFL playoff odds.

The Cowboys’ chances of making the postseason? ESPN has calculated it at 10%.

Dallas is 6-6-1 with four games to play.

The Cowboys pretty much have to win out to have any chance. That starts Sunday night, when they take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15.

Then they’ll play the Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders and New York Giants to close out the season.

If the Cowboys can win against the Vikings, they’ll at least feel like they’ve got some momentum on their side.

The only team remaining on their schedule with anything to play for is the Chargers. The Cowboys should have more incentive to win their other three games. So it may come down to whether Dak Prescott and company can outplay Justin Herbert in Week 16.

Dallas got good news on Friday, at least, in that CeeDee Lamb cleared concussion protocol. They’ll have their top wide receiver on the field for the pivotal Sunday night game against Minnesota, and maybe that’ll make the difference in trying to chase down an unlikely playoff spot.
