Penn State football offensive tackle Vega Ioane has declared for the NFL Draft, Hayes Fawcett reported on Friday. The Graham, Washington, native still has a year of eligibility remaining. He has been with the Nittany Lions for four seasons.

Ioane joined Penn State in 2022, playing in four games but redshirting that season. The following season, his role increased, and he appeared in every game for the Nittany Lions, starting five. In 2024 and 2025, Ioane started in every game he appeared in.

Ioane has been a bright spot on the offensive line this season and was ranked as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman on Mel Kiper’s midseason big board because of it.

“Ioane drives defensive tackles off the ball and sustains his blocks well,” Kiper wrote. “He can get to the second level and torque defenders out of the way. And he’s incredibly agile at left guard for his size. Ioane has 31 career starts and has given up only two sacks over that time — both in 2023.”

Ioane joined Zakee Wheatley and Zane Durant as Nittany Lions who have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a finalist for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year.
