If you’re heading to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, you’ll want to bundle up for what is expected to be the coldest game of the year so far. Sunday is a First Alert Weather Impact Day due to the frigid wind chills expected. The Chiefs offered a few tips for fans planning to tailgate or attend the game. First, layers will be key. Fans should wear many layers of loose clothing to ward off the cold and protect their skin. Hats, gloves and scarves will be necessary. Fans can carry in blankets with no zippers or pockets over their shoulders as well. If you are wearing heated clothing, make sure to disconnect the battery pack before going through the security checkpoint. Battery packs can be no larger than 6 inches by 3 inches by 1.5 inches. Bring a piece of cardboard no larger than 3 feet by 5 feet to separate your feet from the cold concrete. Guests may bring in one factory sealed bottle of water, 20 ounces or less. Hot chocolate will be available for purchase at various shops around Arrowhead. More fan information can be found here.
