NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Titans are seeking another road win. They will have to beat San Francisco on their home field to do it.
The Titans are also trying to end another streak in the process. Not since 2022 has the team won back-to-back games.
The Niners are 9-4 and in the thick of a run at the post-season.
“Well, offensively, they’re very efficient,” said Titans Interim Head Coach Mike McCoy.
“Kyle (Shanahan) does an outstanding job putting plans together, all the shifts and motion and the talented players. He’s always put his players in a position to be successful. So you’ve got to be dialed in. We all got to be 11 guys on the same page, pre-snap, post-snap, all those things. And then defensively, Robert’s (Saleh) done a phenomenal job with the guys and he always has. He’s got a scheme that’s been very successful regardless of where he’s been. You’ve got to match their energy, their intensity they play with, they play the game the way it’s supposed to be played. And that’s one thing, having known Robert for a long time, is you just love the way his defenses play. They play hard, they play the game the way it’s supposed to be played. So it’s a good challenge for us.”
The Titans are hoping to continue to run the football as well as they did in Cleveland a week ago.
Tony Pollard rolled up a career-high 161 rushing yards to go along with two touchdowns. No question, the Niners defense will be keying on that.
The Titans defense, meanwhile, will have to contend with Niners running back Christian McCaffrey has 1,655 total yards from scrimmage along with 13 touchdowns. He’s a dual-threat back and is playing at an elite level.
The game kicks off at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday. Be sure to tune in to Titans Gameday at 10:30 a.m. on WSMV to get all the pre-game information you need to know!
