A split decision on whether Jaguars can beat the Rams
JJacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars will stay hot and clobber the Jets

  • December 13, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars season is back and our News4JAX sports staff is back with its predictions as well. Each week, we’ll unveil our predictions for the week’s game. Jacksonville (9-4) hosts the New York Jets (3-10) on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Jaguars are leading the AFC South and need to keep winning to bolster their chances of holding off the Colts and Texans.

Kyle Ashley

This year’s record: 9-4.

The Jaguars are peaking and the Jets are just not. The game may be closer but I trust the staff and the team to have the guys ready to go and not looking ahead to Denver. — Jaguars 31, Jets 13.

Justin Barney

This year’s record: 9-4.

The Jets are bad and starting a quarterback who should be on the practice squad and not under center on Sunday. These have been trap games in the past for Jacksonville, but I don’t think that’s the case this week. — Jaguars 35, Jets 14.

Alessandra Pontbriand

This year’s record: 7-6.

The Jets have no chance to beat the Jaguars. The Jags are just too dominate right now and a rookie undrafted free agent is making his first start. I expect the Jaguars defense is have at least three sacks. I also expect another big game from Jakobi Meyers who I’m guessing will have at least two touchdowns. — Jaguars 35, Jets 10.

Jamal St. Cyr

This year’s record: 8-5.

Easy question. Jags win big. The Jets just aren’t good. Ask me how I feel next week when the Jags have a real game. — Jaguars 38, Jets 17.
