Detroit’s offense is 5th in rushing yards and passing yards, averaging 378.7 yards of total offense, which is third-best. Detroit allows an average of 23.4 points per game, which is 18th. The Lions are 10th in rushing yards allowed and 19th in passing yards allowed. Detroit allows an average of 323.9 yards per game, which is 15th.
Detroit has received excellent play from its offense, as quarterback Jared Goff has thrown for 3,334 yards with 26 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions. Jahmyr Gibbs leads all rushers with 1,062 yards and 13 touchdowns, while David Montgomery has rushed for 603 yards and seven touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown is the leading receiver with 976 yards and 9 touchdown receptions, while Jameson Williams is close behind with 802 yards and 6 touchdown receptions. Linebacker Jack Campbell is the leading tackler with 129. Detroit’s defense has made 37 quarterback sacks and intercepted 11 passes.

Los Angeles leads the NFC playoff race and is tied for first with Seattle in the NFC West, but holds the tiebreaker and can clinch a playoff berth with a victory on Sunday. The Los Angeles Rams score the fourth most points in the NFL, averaging 29.2 per game. Los Angeles is 3rd in passing yards and 11th in rushing yards per game, averaging 373.2 yards of total offense, which is 4th. Detroit’s defense allows an average of 17.5 points per game, which is third best in the NFL. The Rams are 11th in rushing yards allowed and 16th in passing yards allowed per game. LA allows an average of 315.0 yards per game, which is 13th.
Los Angeles is getting it done on the ground and through the air. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has thrown for 3,354 yards with 35 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He’s in the MVP conversation along with Drake Maye. Kyren Williams has rushed for 952 yards and eight touchdowns. The leading receiver is Puka Nacua with 1,186 yards and six touchdown receptions, while Davante Adams (questionable) has 718 yards receiving and 14 touchdown receptions. Nine players have caught at least one touchdown pass for Los Angeles. Linebacker Nate Landman is the leading tackler with 108. Los Angeles has made 36 quarterback sacks and intercepted 13 passes.

Los Angeles is just too strong on both sides of the line of scrimmage for Detroit to keep pace. The Rams score the fourth most points and allow the third fewest. Los Angeles is 15-5 ATS in its last 20 games, and the Rams play well down the stretch at 16-3 ATS in the last 19 games played during December. Injuries could play somewhat of a part in this matchup as Detroit is playing without its first-team tight end Sam LaPorta and could be without starting middle linebacker Alex Anzalone. Los Angeles wide receiver Devante Adams is listed as questionable. Adams leads Los Angeles with 14 touchdown receptions, but the Rams have plenty of offensive weapons to attack Detroit, with or without Adams.
