Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Josh Jacobs is ‘feeling pretty good’
Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirmed running back Josh Jacobs will practice with the team on Dec. 12.
GREEN BAY – If Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs feels healthy enough to play, there is no holding him back.
Jacobs practiced with the Packers on Dec. 12 after sitting out the past two days. He said tests showed there’s nothing structurally wrong with his left knee after suffering a bone bruise against the New York Giants on Nov. 16.
“He’ll be out there in a limited capacity, and we’ll see how he’s feeling,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said during his Dec. 12 pre-practice news conference. “Just talking to him, it sounds like he’s feeling pretty good, so we’ll see how he responds to the practice.”
With an AFC opponent coming up this weekend in the Denver Broncos followed by their second crucial NFC North contest with rival Chicago Bears, LaFleur said there wouldn’t be a situation where they held Jacobs out for one game to prepare him for another.
“Right now, where we’re at, we’re not looking any further than the game in front of our face,” LaFleur said. “That’s where we’ll continue to keep the focus on this game.”
With Jacobs’ return to practice, the Packers had every player on the active roster participate in practice.
