METAIRIE, La. – For the third consecutive week, the New Orleans Saints appear to be going into a game without their star running back. Alvin Kamara has been out of practice since going down awkwardly while being tackled in the team’s Week 12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
While Kamara continues to work his way back on the field, the room has been led by rookie running back Devin Neal. The sixth-round rookie totaled 84 yards from scrimmage in last week’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, scoring his first career touchdown in the process. Behind him, backs Audric Estime and Evan Hull have contributed, as well.
Kamara missed the last three weeks of the 2024 season with injury and hopes are that he will be able to be back on the field before the 2025 season wraps up.
Here are the players that were not seen during the portion of Saints practice that was open to the media on Friday.
Safety Justin Reid and tackle Taliese Fuaga, each of which has been navigating injury, both continued their paths back to the field by logging another day of participation.
