Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, several offensive linemen out for Sunday
I All right, uh, the guys that didn’t practice. Today, um, we’re Brown, Wanye Morris, um. Trey and then Jawan. Uh, And then, um, everybody else went out and did their thing. Duffy was, McDuffie was out there practicing, so before the challenge of playing. Uh, the Chargers, you know, *** good football team, we know that. Again, we look forward to playing. Right here at GH Field Arrowhead Stadium, so. With that time jurors, fair to expect the line that finished last game would maybe start this game just considering some of the injuries. Um, say that I, it’s fair to say the line that ended offensive line, yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry. Did Trey have *** setback this week or just not ready to, no, just not ready to go. He, he worked through and, and pushed himself, um, you know, but. I just, I don’t think he’s quite there, you know. Essa and how well he played in *** tough spot last week. Now he’s actually getting practice and all that stuff. What’s he looked like for you, like meeting rooms and on the field getting his reps? Yeah, no, he’s going about his business the right way. You know, this will be another test for him. Obviously, they got *** good defensive front and, um, so we’ll see how he, how he progresses here, but, um, he did *** nice job last week for sure, yeah. Is Hollywood personal again, or yes, do you expect that he would be available Sunday, no. We have, we’ve talked *** lot about, you know, the attitude going into this week, and now you’re not to the game yet, but you’re through the week. Have you seen everything like you’d like to see out of these guys as they approach this in this kind of different circumstance? Yeah, no, like, uh, like the way they’ve gone about their business. Um, they, they’ve worked hard this week and, uh, like they, like they always do. I mean they, you know, they put up, put forward an effort to get themselves better and that’s, uh. And so, all you can expect for, you know, from *** head coach standpoint. So you’ve got *** couple of options obviously on the practice squad to be *** swing tackle, but would, would Kingsley be considered your next guy up if you had another injury at tackle? Uh, he can work out there, yeah, yeah, we got you that can do the same thing, so, yeah. OK, thank you, yep.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, several offensive linemen out for Sunday

Updated: 2:05 PM CST Dec 12, 2025
The Kansas City Chiefs will be without several key pieces to their offense once again when they face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Head coach Andy Reid spoke to reporters Friday ahead of a crucial game at Arrowhead Stadium. Offensive injuries were just one aspect of the Chiefs’ loss to the Houston Texans, pushing Kansas City’s record down to 6-7. Now, they’ll once again have to adapt, as several players did not practice Friday. Reid said that wide receiver Hollywood Brown, offensive tackle Wanya Morris, guard Trey Smith and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor did not practice. Smith and Taylor were out against the Texans. The Chiefs officially confirmed that all four have been ruled out. Cornerback Trent McDuffie is questionable with a knee injury. Morris suffered a knee injury in last week’s game. According to a report from an NFL insider, he’ll be out for the season. Reid said earlier this week that he would be “taking some time.” Smith has been dealing with an ankle injury, and while he did practice earlier this week, Reid said he is just not ready to go, despite his efforts. “I don’t think he’s quite there,” Reid said. Taylor has been dealing with triceps and knee issues and missed practice all week. A new addition to this list is Brown, who missed practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday due to a personal situation, not an injury. When asked if Reid thought Brown would be available Sunday, he gave a straight “no.” This update means that as the Chiefs try to claw their way into the playoffs, they’ll have to do so with a fluctuating starting lineup.
