The Arizona Cardinals made several roster moves on Saturday, including activating offensive tackle Christian Jones from injured reserve.
Meanwhile, defensive lineman Bilal Nichols was placed on injured reserve. Additionally, receivers Jalen Brooks and Trent Sherfield Sr. were elevated from the practice squad as standard elevations.
The news comes as the Cardinals will be without offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. (knee) and second-year wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) for Sunday’s contest against the Houston Texans.
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Jones had been on injured reserve since August due to a knee injury.
After signing a three-year deal with the Cardinals in 2024, Nichols played in just six games last year before being placed on injured reserve with a season-ending neck injury. Nichols registered three tackles in four games played this season.
Brooks and Sherfield both appeared in last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams with Brooks catching two passes for 32 yards.
Cardinals-Texans kicks off from NRG Stadium in Houston at 11 a.m.
Listen to the game on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app with play-by-play man Dave Pasch and color commentator A.Q. Shipley on the call.
