The Seattle Seahawks activated three formerly injured players to the 53-man roster and placed another on injured reserve among several roster moves on Saturday.

Tight end Eric Saubert and center Jalen Sundell were activated off IR, and rookie defensive end Rylie Mills was activated from the physically unable to perform list. Meanwhile, rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo was placed on IR with a knee injury, meaning he will miss the Seahawks’ final four games of the regular season.

The Seahawks also announced they signed Saubert to a one-year contract extension through the 2026 season on Saturday.

Saubert, in his ninth season, has missed the past six games with a calf injury and his return brings some needed depth as Arroyo heads to IR. Saubert has just one catch for 12 yards in seven games this season, but is known for his abilities as a blocker and impact on special teams. Rookie Nick Kallerup and third-year pro Brady Russell also remain in the mix at tight end.

Sundell, a second-year pro, has missed Seattle’s past four games with a knee injury after starting its first nine. He allowed six pressures and zero sacks in 257 pass-blocking snaps before his injury, per Pro Football Focus. Olu Oluwatimi started the four games Sundell was out, surrendering eight pressures and zero sacks in 156 pass-blocking snaps.

Head coach Mike Macdonald remained quiet about his team’s potential roster moves during his Friday press conference and did not reveal who would be starting at center on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

“There’ll be a center out there on Sunday, I promise,” Macdonald said.

Mills, a fifth-round pick, has yet to play this season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in his final game with Notre Dame last December.

Arroyo had 15 receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown in 13 games this season. The second-round pick had only one catch for five yards over his past four games.

The Seahawks had two open spots on their 53-man roster entering Saturday after releasing running back Cam Akers and cornerback Shaquill Griffin earlier this week. A third opened up with Arroyo going on IR.

Seattle also elevated running back Velus Jones Jr. from the practice squad for the third straight week. He had four carries for 32 yards in the Seahawks’ 37-9 win over Atlanta last week and played a role on special teams in each of the past two games.

The Seahawks host the Colts at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday. Radio coverage can be heard on Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, starting with pregame coverage at 9:30 a.m.
