The Carolina Panthers aren’t going into Sunday with a clean bill of health after all.
As announced on Saturday afternoon, starting defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton has been added to the injury report for tomorrow’s matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Wharton is listed with a hamstring injury and is considered questionable.

Wharton has missed four games this season due to hamstring and toe injuries. He’s recorded 36 combined tackles and 2.0 sacks over his nine outings.
Prior to Wharton’s placement, the injury report featured five players—all of whom were cleared without game designations on Friday. The group includes center Cade Mays (ankle), inside linebackers Christian Rozeboom (hip/hamstring) and Claudin Cherelus (concussion), cornerback Jaycee Horn (concussion) and safety Lathan Ransom (thumb).
Carolina also announced that they’ve elevated inside linebacker and practice-squad member Isaiah Simmons for the contest. The 2020 first-round pick made his team debut in the Week 13 win over the Los Angeles Rams, where he played 14 snaps on special teams.
