Brendan O’Sullivan takes you through his prediction and pick for the Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders Week 15 matchup.
This is a get-right game for the Eagles as they host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15. It’s not quite a must-win as Philadelphia has a multiple-game lead in the division, but it would be a terrible loss.
Philadelphia is on a three-game losing streak, including an overtime loss to the Chargers in Week 14. Well, the Raiders are doing much worse, having lost seven straight and 11 overall games this season.
The Eagles are 11.5-point favorites and -700 on the moneyline, while the Raiders are +500 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 38.5 points.
Here’s my prediction, preview and pick for the Eagles vs. Raiders matchup in Week 15.
Eagles vs. Raiders prediction, preview
The Eagles’ 2025 campaign has been a mess, and it’s only gotten worse in the past few weeks. Public complaints, losing streaks and a short-lived “positivity rabbit” all make for a disappointing Super Bowl defense.
Jalen Hurts threw four interceptions and lost a fumble last week. It’s hard to get much worse than that for a Super Bowl contender. Yet, none of this compares to what the Raiders are going through.
Las Vegas is one of the worst offenses in the NFL, ranking last in points and second to last in yards. The run game, which is led by rookie Ashton Jeanty, is last in yards, touchdowns and yards per carry. An atrocious offensive line doesn’t help, but the No. 6 overall pick isn’t doing much either. Then, there’s Geno Smith who enters Week 15 tied for the most interceptions at 14.
The Raiders are 2-11 and have no business winning this game. It’s possible they don’t win another game this year, although the Giants are in town in Week 17. Anyway, this week seems like an opportunity for Las Vegas to continue its downward spiral into a top draft pick.
For as bad as the Eagles have been lately, they’re not close to the Raiders’ level. Their three-game losing streak is against the Cowboys, Bears and Chargers — all potential playoff teams. Philadelphia can bounce back here and then gets two games vs. the Commanders and one against the Bills to round out the season.
Eagles vs. Raiders pick, best bet
The Eagles are struggling for their standards, but the Raiders’ struggles are far, far worse. This game is also in Philadelphia, so another advantage for the reigning champs.
Although the Eagles aren’t inspiring confidence, the Raiders are losing by double-digits to much weaker teams. Philadelphia can cover the 11.5-point spread at home in what should be a get-right game ahead of the late-season stretch.
