The San Francisco 49ers are back in action on Sunday after a week off, as they’ll host the Tennessee Titans at Levi’s Stadium for an interconference, afternoon showdown.

San Francisco has historically been great after their bye weeks since Kyle Shanahan took over as the team’s head coach in 2017. In 70 games after the bye, the 49ers have gone 45-25, but they’re coming off their worst season post-bye, as they went 2-7 in their final 9 games last year.

In 2025, the 49ers had the latest possible bye week, taking Week 14 off, and they had played pretty well before, putting together a 9-4 record.

Now, with four games left in the regular season, they’ll take on the Titans, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks. Chicago and Seattle are currently playoff teams and will provide a decent challenge, while Tennessee’s been one of the worst teams in the league, and Indianapolis is preparing to start a quarterback who hasn’t taken a snap in five years.

If San Francisco can split the final four games of the season and finish with an 11-6 record, they’ll probably still have a strong chance to make the postseason, which will be an impressive feat considering all they overcame this year.
