The New York Giants (2-11) are set to host the Washington Commanders (3-10) in Week 15 of the NFL season.
Sunday’s game marks the first time the Giants will play at home in nearly a month, as their last game came in mid-November in a 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Since then, the Giants lost back-to-back road games against the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots before having a bye in Week 14, which saw them jump up to currently owning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
A year removed from being one win away from the Super Bowl, it’s been a season to forget for the Commanders, who are on a league-high eight-game losing streak following a 3-2 start.
The issue for Washington has been the health of their young star quarterback, Jayden Daniels, who’s missed time throughout this season and left last week’s 31-0 shutout loss to the Minnesota Vikings midway through the third quarter and did not return.
The first head-to-head meeting between these two NFC East opponents came back in the season opener, when the Commanders defeated then-QB Russell Wilson and the Giants, 21-6, in Washington.

The pick: Giants 28, Commanders 24
Here’s why: The Commanders have fallen off a cliff this season after being one game away from the Super Bowl last year. QB Jayden Daniels is the symbol of everything that went right for Washington a year ago, and how nothing has gone right a year later. He won’t play Sunday. Jaxson Dart has heard plenty about the need to protect himself and change the way he plays. He could use a big game in which he endures minimal physical punishment in order to put that narrative to bed. The Commanders have lost eight games in a row, while the Giants have not experienced victory since their prime time upset of the Eagles back in October. These are two struggling teams who can’t get out of their own way at times. Maybe being at home – likely in a half-empty building – makes the difference for the Giants.
Bert Bainbridge
The pick: Giants 27, Commanders 24
Here’s why: This is a divisional matchup between two of the worst statistical defenses in the NFL, as they each rank bottom-five in yards and points per game allowed to opponents this season. It’s still unknown if Daniels will or should play for Washington on Sunday. With that being said, I’m on the Giants to get their first win in over two months, as both defenses continue to struggle as Jaxson Dart and the G-Men do enough offensively to hold on here and earn their third win of the season.

The pick: Giants 24, Commanders 17
Here’s why: While this season has been a major disappointment for the Giants, it’s been a nightmare for the Commanders, who had Super Bowl aspirations after playing in the NFC Championship Game last season. Jaxson Dart leads the Giants to a win at home against a Washington team that’s looking ahead to 2026.
Brian Marron
The pick: Giants 31, Commanders 21
Here’s why: Washington’s defense is a mess, having allowed at least 25 points in seven of the last eight games and over 30 points in four of those games. Add in that Jayden Daniels will be out again due to injury, and the Giants should be able outscore the Commanders.
Bob Jordan
The pick: Commanders 20, Giants 16
Here’s why: Two-win team vs. three win-team. Giants are favored, but at this level it’s probably smart to go the other way.
Chris Iseman
The pick: Giants 27, Commanders 21
Here’s why: The Commanders are on a free fall. This is the type of game the Giants should be able to capitalize on to get a win.
